Homemade patina removal paste
1. We use homemade cleaning paste to clean the jewelery.
2. Put jewelery on a baking sheet or on a tray lined with breakfast paper
3. To prepare the cleaning mass, we need:
- 2/3 cup of white wine vinegar,
- 1/2 cup of salt
- 2/3 cup of barley flour,
- a plastic or glass vessel (note! not a metal vessel),
- a soft microfiber cloth
4. Then, mix the vinegar with the flour, and when you get a smooth consistency, add salt. We mix again until a homogeneous mass is obtained. The mixture should form a coherent, thick paste
5. We put it on jewelry with a delicate microfiber cloth and leave it for a few hours, preferably overnight. During this time, the flour-vinegar mask will take on a greenish patina.
6. After washing, the jewelry will get its original, beautiful, shiny color.
You can also choose chemical professional cleaning agents for copper and brass and use them according to the manufacturer's instructions. We always use a delicate microfiber cloth so as not to leave scratches on the metal elements.
